“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” — Mother Teresa.
You already know Aria the little rascal and her brother Raini. One night the children's home where they live floods, so they go to stay in the flat of Adela and Noldi, who volunteered to take the children in until the home is repaired. Adela and Noldi are an interesting couple, living together, yet still afraid to take their shared future seriously.
“Out of the rain and into the hail” is the phrase that fits the situation brother and sister find themselves in, inside the couple's modest life.
But for the children, living with the young couple is an endless adventure, running alongside Aria's efforts to repair the children's home, the only place she knows as home. Nobody gave her the job. She is very small, after all. But she does not wait to be assigned the things her heart is set on.
Living with Adela and Noldi, Aria notices their deep love and the hidden wishes the two of them have not the courage to show. So Aria's jobs become two: besides her insistence on making the home liveable again so the children can return to their normal lives, she wants to make Adela and Noldi's unspoken dream real, the nest of their love, a family.
Aria cannot stand idle whenever she sees that someone needs help, a push, a hand held out, an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on. Small as she is, she does not hesitate to do the best she can. Faced with bureaucracy crawling along at the pace of a sleepy tortoise, Aria does not budge from her purpose.
Will a little rascal like Aria manage to get things done in a hurry? Her adventures never end, and give you the impression she goes looking for trouble with a candle.
Let us travel along with Aria and the other characters, through unexpected situations and humour, enjoying the ride, but above all drawing out a few messages worth keeping.
